Poem: When I say I am a Christian…

I was just browsing through one of my friend’s profile on Facebook and found this under the favorite quotations and how true it is…

When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not shouting “I’m clean living.”
I’m whispering, “I was lost, now I’m found and forgiven.”

When I say “I am a Christian” I don’t speak of this pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble, and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed, and need God to clean my mess.

When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I’m worth it.

When I say “I am a Christian” I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say “I am a Christian” I’m not holier than thou.
I’m just a simple sinner, who received God’s grace somehow.

You will not lack – Stella Dhinakaran

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)

When you seek the Lord earnestly, He shall give you all the blessings. The Bible assures, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing” (Psalm 34:10). When you ask for His anointing, He shall fill you with the Holy Spirit and lead you in His ways. Psalmist David says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God” (Psalm 42:1, 63:1).

God has promised, “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants” (Isaiah 44:3). Cornelius was a centurion. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly (Acts 10:2). As he, along with his household was seeking the Lord with great thirst, the Holy Spirit fell on him and all his household, who were listening to the words of Peter (Acts 10:44-46).

God wants to bless your family abundantly! God will make you profess, along with Joshua, “…as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15). Make a decision that you and your house will do something for the Lord as we have approached the ‘last days.’ Plead with God, “O Lord, fill me and my house with blessings just you blessed Cornelius and his household.” Consequently, He will shower the Holy Spirit profusely on you and your family. He will transform your family into a fruit-bearing one!

Though ignorant of Lord Jesus, a brother and his family began to love Him through the Jesus Calls Ministry. Once the Jesus Calls Meetings were organized in a town near his village. He wanted to take his family to the venue after finding out for himself how they could be lodged there. Promising to take his family, after making arrangements for them, he proceeded to the town.

Greg Laurie Quotes – Harvest Auckland 2011

“Money can buy you bed but it cant buy you sleep, it can buy you a house but it cant buy you a home, it can buy you medicines but it cant buy you good health, it can buy you amusement but it cant buy you happiness…”

“In turkey more than 4000 Sheep fell off the cliff and it all started when one of the sheep fell first and the others simply followed…”

Only Jesus Christ can satisfy that longing in your heart and he is the ONLY way. We all like sheep have gone astray but Jesus, a Shepherd is calling me and you to himself that he might save us from the eternal hell and give us life more abundant.

Faithful Man

A faithful man will be richly blessed…    (Proverbs 28:20)

Paul says that we should know ‘the fellowship of the sufferings Lord Jesus.’ He suffered for us because of His love and compassion. He gave Himself on the cross for us saying, “My children can be healed only through My stripes. Blessings will abound in their lives only when I become a curse; they can be saved only when I am lifted up on the cross; and their sins can be forgiven and they can receive redemption only when I shed My blood. Because of the love I have for My children, let Me sacrifice Myself!”

God wants to keep a faithful heart in us to know the will of Lord Jesus, His mind and His sufferings. So, let us plead with God saying, “Lord, my spirit is weak. I don’t have a faithful and loving heart. Kindly fill me with your powerful Holy Spirit. Grant me a faithful heart and let your blessings abound in my life, my family and my generation!” When we pray in such a manner, He will fill us with His Spirit and give us a faithful heart. Moreover, He will shower His perfect blessings upon us and make us joyful.

PRAYER:

Loving Lord Jesus,

Your faithfulness endures forever. I seek You with all my heart and all my soul. You suffered for me on the Cross because of your love and compassion for me. You rose to life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Give me the grace to partake in your sufferings and glory. Anoint me with the Holy Spirit. Fill me with your power. Give me a faithful heart. Bestow me with your rich blessings.

In Your matchless name I pray.

Amen.
